The difference between the two services and how to choose.
Package forwarding
You buy from the Korean store yourself using your own card and account, ship to a Korean warehouse address, and the warehouse forwards it. Cheaper, but only works if you can complete Korean checkout.
Proxy buying
The service buys on your behalf. Costs a service fee, but works on any Korean store including ones that block foreign payment entirely.
The deciding question
Can you actually complete checkout on that specific site? If yes, forward. If no, use proxy.
Mixing both
Many buyers forward from sites that accept their card and use proxy only for the sites that do not, combining everything into one shipment.
