Coffee mix sticks come in boxes of 100 for 12,000-20,000 KRW, roughly 12-20 cents per cup. Premium freeze-dried and cold-brew instant sticks run 8,000-18,000 KRW for 20-30 sticks. The premium tier is where Korean products noticeably outperform US instant coffee at a similar price.
Weight and packing efficiency
A 100-stick box weighs about 1.2 kg and packs into a flat rectangle with almost no wasted volume. That makes coffee one of the better-value food imports by weight, since the shipping cost per cup lands under 15 cents on a consolidated box.
Flavored and seasonal variants
Korean brands rotate seasonal flavors constantly, and convenience-store exclusives appear and disappear within months. These never reach US distribution, which is the actual reason to import rather than buy a familiar brand at a Korean grocery.
