Buying Korean Sheet Masks in Bulk: Types, Prices and Packing

· ppasong

Sheet masks are the cheapest thing to import from Korea by value. Here is how to buy them intelligently.

Price reality

A ten-pack of a mainstream Korean mask runs 8,000-15,000 KRW, about $6-11, or 60 cents to $1.10 per mask. The same masks in a US store sell for $2.50-4 each. Buying fifty masks costs roughly 45,000-70,000 KRW and weighs about 1.2-1.5 kg.

Sheet materials and what they do

Cotton sheets are cheapest and hold the most essence. Microfiber and cupra sheets sit closer to the face and dry out slower. Hydrogel masks come in two pieces, cost 2,000-4,000 KRW each and are heavier because of the gel. Bio-cellulose is the premium tier and the most expensive per sheet.

Essence volume and weight

Each mask carries 20-30 ml of essence, which is where the weight comes from. A hundred masks is roughly 2.5-3 kg. If you are near a weight bracket, buying 60 instead of 100 can be the cheaper decision overall.

Storage after arrival

Sealed masks keep well for 2-3 years unopened. Store them flat, away from heat, and check the manufacture code on the outer pack rather than the individual sachet, since individual sachets often show only a lot number.

Frequently asked

They are packed as sealed cosmetics rather than bulk liquid, and normal personal quantities move without issue on standard air routes.

For basic hydration, yes. The formula difference between a 60-cent mask and a $3 mask is smaller than the marketing suggests.

The essence can partially freeze, but it re-liquefies without harming the product. Extreme cold is not a practical concern for this category.
